It’s Good to Be Alive: A Soulful Reminder to Just Be
🌿 It’s Good to Be Alive: A Soulful Reminder to Just Be
By Angel, Founder of AMC Rise and Thrive
Hello beautiful soul 💛
I’m really glad you’re here today.
Not in a polite, surface-level way — but in the kind of way that honors the
courage it takes to keep showing up to life, even when it’s tender, confusing,
or quietly heavy.
Let’s pause together for a moment.
Not to fix anything.
Not to plan the next step.
Not to prove anything.
Just to breathe.
In a world that measures worth by productivity, it’s easy to
forget the simplest and most powerful truth of all:
It’s good to be alive.
Not because everything is perfect.
Not because you have it all figured out.
Not because today looks the way you hoped it would.
But because you are here.
And that alone is sacred.
When Life Speaks Through Loss
Recently, I attended a funeral.
And no matter how many times we stand in those quiet rooms,
surrounded by flowers, memories, and aching love, there is something about
watching a body return to the earth that changes you. Something about that
finality that gently — but firmly — reminds your soul:
This life is not promised in length.
It is promised only in this moment.
I watched loved ones share stories. I watched tears fall and
hands hold each other. I watched grief and gratitude sit side by side in the
same room. And in that sacred space, a truth settled deep in my spirit:
We do not know how much time we have.
But we do know we are here right now.
And somehow, in the midst of sorrow, I felt an overwhelming
gratitude rise in my chest.
For breath.
For presence.
For the chance to still feel, love, remember, and live.
That day reminded me of something I want to gently pass on to
you today:
It’s good to be alive.
🌅 The Gift
of Being
Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to make life happen,
we forget to actually live it.
We rush from one task to the next.
We measure our days by checklists.
We carry responsibilities, expectations, and invisible pressures.
We hold space for everyone else while quietly forgetting ourselves.
And underneath all of that movement, the soul whispers:
There’s beauty here, right now.
You don’t have to earn your breath.
You don’t have to perform for peace.
You don’t have to become anything more to be worthy.
You are worthy because you exist.
Your heartbeat is already a miracle.
Your breath is already a blessing.
Your presence is already sacred.
Even when you feel tired.
Even when you feel uncertain.
Even when you feel behind.
You are not late to your life.
You are living it.
Being alive is not just about surviving days — it’s about
allowing yourself to notice them.
The warmth of sunlight through a window.
The quiet comfort of a familiar song.
The sound of your own breath when the world finally grows still.
These are not small things.
These are holy moments in disguise.
💫 From
Human Doing to Human Being
There’s a line in Carly Pearl’s song “Human Doing” that
stopped me in my tracks:
“I forgot I’m not a machine… I’m a human doing, but I miss the
being.”
And whew — did that truth land.
How many of us have learned to measure our worth by how much
we carry?
How many of us feel guilty for resting?
How many of us only feel valuable when we are useful?
We have become so good at doing that we have forgotten how to
simply be.
Spiritually, emotionally, and physically — many of us are
exhausted.
Not because we don’t love life.
But because we have forgotten that life is not something to conquer.
It is something to experience.
Being alive is not just about existing.
It is about being awake to the moment.
The breath.
The miracle of now.
You are not a machine built for endless output.
You are a soul designed for connection, rest, joy, growth, and grace.
Slowing down does not mean you are failing.
Resting does not mean you are lazy.
Being still does not mean you are unproductive.
Sometimes, being is the most powerful form of healing.
🙏 You Are
Here on Purpose
You didn’t wake up by accident.
This breath was not random.
This moment was not guaranteed.
And yet — here you are.
That alone is divine.
Even on the days that feel heavy.
Even when your faith feels quiet.
Even when your heart feels tired.
You are still here.
The sunshine on your face.
The rhythm of your breath.
The presence of your own soul.
These are not coincidences.
You are not a machine.
You are not a mistake.
You are not forgotten.
You are a living, breathing miracle walking inside of sacred
time.
And even when you don’t feel powerful — your existence is.
🌬 A Gentle
Pause: Breathe This In
Let’s do this together for a moment.
Take a slow breath in.
Feel your chest rise.
Hold it gently.
Now let it out slowly.
Feel your shoulders soften.
Say it softly — even if only in your heart:
“It’s good to be alive.”
Say it again.
Let it settle into your body.
Let it echo in your bones.
You do not need a reason.
You do not need perfection.
You do not need proof.
Life itself is the blessing.
💎 Soul
Affirmations for This Moment
Speak these gently over yourself today:
- I
honor the sacredness of my breath.
- I am
not behind — I am exactly where I’m meant to be.
- I
give myself permission to simply be.
- My
presence is powerful, even in stillness.
- It
is good — so deeply good — to be alive.
Let these words become anchors when your mind forgets what
your soul already knows.
📖 Bible
Verse Reflection
“For in Him we live and move and have our being.”
— Acts 17:28 (NKJV)
Your life is not separate from divine presence.
You are held within it.
Guided by it.
Loved through it.
Every step.
Every breath.
Every becoming.
🎵 Song of
the Day
“Human Doing” — Carly Pearl
This song is a gentle mirror and a loving reminder.
It invites us to soften our grip on striving and remember that
we are not here to constantly prove our worth. We are here to feel, to live, to
love, and to be.
Let it play in the background while you breathe.
Let it remind you that you are more than your responsibilities.
Let it return you to yourself.
🌼 Final
Thoughts: If No One Told You Today…
I’m so glad you’re here.
Not because of what you’ve done.
Not because of what you’ve achieved.
Not because of what you still need to become.
But because your presence matters.
It’s okay to rest.
It’s okay to cry.
It’s okay to laugh at nothing and dance for no reason.
Life does not have to be heavy to be meaningful.
It does not have to be perfect to be sacred.
Joy and pain both belong here.
So do you.
You are allowed to feel fully.
You are allowed to live gently.
You are allowed to simply exist without explanation.
And yes…
It is good to be alive.
