March Reflections: Awakening, Renewal, and Courage to Begin Again

March Reflections: Awakening, Renewal, and Courage to Begin Again

By Angel, Founder of AMC Rise and Thrive

Hello beautiful soul 🤍

I’m so grateful you’re here.

Before we step fully into this new month, take a slow breath with me.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale fully.

March carries a different energy. Can you feel it?

There’s something about this month that whispers, “It’s time.” Not in a rushed way. Not in a pressured way. But in a quiet, sacred invitation to begin again.

We have walked through the depth of winter. We have honored love in February — learning to soften, to heal gently, to choose ourselves. And now March arrives with subtle movement. The light lingers a little longer. The air begins to shift. Something beneath the surface is waking up.

And maybe… you are too.

Welcome to March

March is the bridge between what was and what is becoming.

It doesn’t fully belong to winter. It hasn’t fully surrendered to spring. It lives in the in-between — and if we’re honest, that’s where many of us find ourselves spiritually and emotionally.

Not who we used to be.
Not fully who we’re becoming.
But growing.

This month reminds us that renewal doesn’t happen overnight. Seeds don’t bloom the moment they are planted. They push through soil in darkness before anyone sees the evidence. Growth begins underground.

You may feel like you’ve been underground for a while — working, healing, praying, waiting. You’ve been doing the unseen work. March whispers that growth is happening even if no one applauds it yet.

Spring is coming. But first, there is preparation.

🌱 The Courage to Begin Again

There is something sacred about starting over.

March carries the spiritual symbolism of resurrection, restoration, and fresh beginnings. It echoes the promise that nothing stays dormant forever. Even the longest winters give way to light.

Beginning again doesn’t mean you failed.
It means you’re brave enough to try differently.

Some of us are beginning again in relationships — learning new boundaries, healthier patterns, deeper honesty.
Some are beginning again in careers — pivoting, stepping out in faith, trusting a calling that feels bigger than fear.
Some are beginning again internally — choosing healing instead of avoidance, truth instead of denial.

Whatever your “again” looks like, honor it.

God is not intimidated by your restarts. He is present in them. He wastes nothing — not your tears, not your lessons, not even your detours.

The same Creator who renews the earth each spring is renewing you. Quietly. Patiently. Faithfully.

🌿 Letting Go of What Winter Taught You

Winter seasons — literal and spiritual — teach us things.

They teach us patience.
They teach us resilience.
They teach us what truly matters when distractions fall away.

But March asks a gentle question:

What are you still holding onto that no longer serves this next chapter?

Sometimes we grow attached to old pain because it feels familiar. We cling to outdated narratives because they once protected us. We replay old disappointments because at least they are predictable.

But growth requires release.

You cannot bloom while gripping last season’s leaves.

Let this month be about clearing space.
Releasing resentment.
Forgiving yourself.
Trusting that what’s meant for you will not miss you.

Let the wind of March carry away what you don’t need anymore — not in a dramatic storm, but in a steady, cleansing breeze.

Moving Forward with Intentional Energy

March is not about chaotic action. It’s about aligned movement.

You don’t have to overhaul your entire life this month. You only need to take the next faithful step.

That might look like:
• recommitting to your goals with gentler expectations
• prioritizing your spiritual life
• stepping outside more and reconnecting with nature
• choosing discipline over distraction
• believing that your efforts will bloom in time

Forward motion doesn’t require perfection. It requires participation.

The days are getting longer — let your hope stretch with them.

You are allowed to want more.
You are allowed to pray bigger.
You are allowed to expect goodness.

Not from entitlement — but from trust.

Trust that the One who planted the dream inside you intends to water it too.

🌸 The Spiritual Beauty of Spring

There is a reason so many faith traditions associate spring with renewal.

Spring is a living metaphor of grace.

Dead-looking branches bloom again.
Cold ground produces color.
What seemed lifeless becomes vibrant.

If nature can transform this dramatically every year, imagine what God can do within you.

Maybe March isn’t about dramatic external change. Maybe it’s about internal awakening. A shift in mindset. A deeper surrender. A stronger faith. A softer heart.

Maybe your bloom won’t look like anyone else’s — and that’s okay. Wildflowers don’t compete. They just grow.

And so can you.

🌿 Affirmations for March

Let these settle into your spirit:

• I welcome new beginnings with courage and faith.
• I release what no longer aligns with who I am becoming.
• I trust that growth is happening even when I cannot see it.
• I move forward with clarity, strength, and divine support.
• I am allowed to bloom in my own time.

đź“– Bible Verse for This Season

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:19

Pause on that.

God is always working beneath the surface. Sometimes the “new thing” begins long before we recognize it. Sometimes it starts as a shift in perspective. A door quietly closing. A new desire forming.

March is an invitation to open your eyes and your heart. What is quietly shifting in your life? Where are you being guided toward growth?

Perceive it.
Receive it.
Walk into it.

🎵 Song of the Day

“Air It Out” by S.I.A.T. Stuck in a Tree

🎧 Listen here

I chose this song because it mirrors the energy of this month. It’s about clearing the air — releasing negativity, speaking truth, and refusing to carry what weighs you down. There’s an honesty in it that feels timely.

The message resonates deeply: let it out. Let go of what’s been building inside. Stop holding space for people who test your peace or try to “flex” in ways that diminish your worth. Protect your energy. Guard your mind. Choose clarity over chaos.

March is not just about blooming — it’s about ventilation. Airing out the stale thoughts, the lingering resentment, the doubt that has overstayed its welcome.

Peace requires space. And sometimes we have to clear the room before peace can fully settle in.

Final Thoughts

Beautiful soul, March is your reminder that dormancy is not death. Waiting is not wasting. Winter was not punishment — it was preparation.

You are allowed to begin again.
You are allowed to grow slowly.
You are allowed to outgrow what once fit.

May this month bring clarity where there was confusion.
May it bring warmth where there was coldness.
May it bring courage where fear once lived.

And may you trust that what is meant to bloom in your life will bloom — in the right season, at the right time, under the right care.

With faith and forward motion,
Angel
