There Are People Just Like You
🖤 There Are People Just Like You
By Angel, Founder of AMC Rise and Thrive
Hello beautiful souls 🤍✨
I’m so grateful you’re here today.
There is something sacred about these moments—when you pause,
when you breathe, when you allow yourself to receive something meant for your
heart. Whether you came here intentionally or simply found your way here
without thinking too much about it… I want you to know this:
You are not here by accident.
And more importantly—
You are not alone.
Today’s reflection is deeply personal. It’s one of those
truths that doesn’t just come from thought, but from lived experience… from
quiet observations… from moments that catch you off guard and gently remind you
of something your soul already knows.
There are people just like you.
Walking through similar struggles.
Carrying similar weight.
Holding things together in ways no one fully sees.
And sometimes… we forget that.
The Weight We Carry 🤍
Recently, I went to church and found myself reconnecting with
people I hadn’t seen in a while.
We talked.
We caught up.
We shared pieces of our lives.
And in those conversations, something became very clear to me—
So many of us are carrying more than we show.
There were stories of parenting children with special needs…
Stories of caring for sick loved ones…
Stories of navigating loss…
Real, raw, human experiences.
And as I listened, I realized something that felt both heavy
and comforting at the same time:
Their struggles weren’t so different from my own.
It didn’t look exactly the same.
It didn’t sound exactly the same.
But the feeling of it?
The weight of it?
That was familiar.
And maybe you’ve felt that too.
That sense of carrying something so heavy it almost feels
invisible to others—but so real to you.
Like you’re walking around with something pressing down on
your spirit every single day.
The best way I can describe it…
is like those old cartoons where an anvil drops out of
nowhere.
Except instead of staying down…
you get back up.
You lift it.
And you carry it with you.
Every day.
Still showing up.
Still trying.
Still moving forward.
And if that’s where you are right now…
I want you to hear this clearly:
Your strength has not gone unnoticed.
Even if no one has said it.
Even if no one fully understands.
God sees you.
And there are others—quietly walking similar paths—who would
understand more than you think. 🤍
The Moments That Break Us Open 🌿✨
As I sat in my usual place during service, something
unexpected happened.
I found myself looking for my pastor.
Almost instinctively.
Waiting to see him nearby…
Waiting for him to stand up and speak…
Waiting for that familiar moment where something he said would land directly on
my heart.
But he wasn’t there.
He passed away last year.
And somehow, even knowing that… this was the first time it
truly settled into my spirit.
There was a space where his presence used to be.
And I felt it.
Deeply.
Grief has a way of doing that.
It doesn’t always arrive all at once.
Sometimes it comes in waves.
Sometimes it waits for a quiet moment… and then gently, or not so gently,
reminds you of what has changed.
And in that moment, sitting there…
I felt the weight of everything I’ve been carrying.
Not just grief.
But all of it.
The responsibilities.
The worries.
The quiet thoughts that build up over time.
And when I bowed my head to pray…
I cried.
Not just a tear or two—but the kind of release that comes when
your soul has been holding too much for too long.
Now, I pray at night.
I talk to God regularly.
But there is something different about being in the house of
God.
Something that is hard to explain unless you’ve felt it.
A presence.
A stillness.
A sense of being held in a way that goes beyond words.
And in that space…
I felt something shift.
Not everything.
Not all at once.
But enough.
Enough to remind me that I don’t have to carry it all by
myself.
Enough to release just a little of the weight.
And sometimes…
that’s where healing begins. 🌿
You Are Not Alone in This 💫
One of the greatest lies we can believe is that we are the
only ones struggling the way we are.
That no one else understands.
That no one else feels this deeply.
That no one else is carrying this kind of weight.
But that simply isn’t true.
There are people out there—right now—
who feel just like you.
Maybe not in the exact same circumstances…
but in the same emotional space.
The same exhaustion.
The same questions.
The same quiet battles.
And that realization…
can be incredibly healing.
Because it shifts something inside of you.
It softens the isolation.
It reminds you that your experience is human.
It opens the door to connection—even if it’s just the awareness that someone,
somewhere, would understand.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
None of us do.
And that’s okay.
We are all learning.
All growing.
All navigating life one step at a time.
Even when it doesn’t look like it on the surface.
Even when everyone else seems “fine.”
Because the truth is—
Most people are carrying something.
Most people are doing their best.
Most people are stronger than they feel… and more understood
than they realize.
And so are you. 🤍✨
Affirmations for When You Feel Alone 🤍✨
Take a deep breath and let these words gently settle into your
heart:
• I am not alone in what I am feeling.
• There are others who understand, even if I cannot see them.
• I am allowed to release the weight I carry.
• I am supported, seen, and held—even in quiet moments.
• My feelings are valid, and I honor them with compassion.
• I trust that healing happens in connection, not isolation.
Bible Verse 🤍
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will
give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28
This verse is such a gentle invitation.
A reminder that when the weight feels too heavy…
when the burden feels overwhelming…
you are not expected to carry it alone.
God meets you in those moments.
Not with judgment.
Not with pressure.
But with rest.
With comfort.
With presence.
And sometimes, that’s exactly what we need most. 🤍
🎵 Song of
the Day 🎶
“Just Like You” by NF
This song is one I’ve come back to more than once… because it
speaks to something so real.
NF has a way of expressing the thoughts many of us carry but
rarely say out loud. The quiet struggles. The inner battles. The moments where
you question everything.
At its core, this song carries one powerful message:
You are not the only one who isn’t okay.
There are millions of people—hurting, healing, questioning,
growing—just like you.
It speaks to the way our minds can wander… how they can replay
memories, create doubt, and sometimes make us feel stuck in our own patterns.
It acknowledges the heaviness we carry, the fear of change, and the struggle of
trying to move forward when everything inside feels uncertain.
But it also offers something deeper:
Connection through shared experience.
Even though no one can walk in your exact shoes…
There are people who feel what you feel.
Who understand your emotions.
Who are navigating similar internal battles.
The song reminds us that healing doesn’t come from pretending
everything is okay.
It comes from acknowledging that it’s not—
and realizing that you are still not alone in that truth.
There is something powerful about that kind of honesty.
Because when we stop trying to carry everything in silence…
we create space for healing, for connection, and for hope. 🤍🎶
Final Thoughts 🤍✨
If there is one thing I hope you take with you today, it’s
this:
There are people just like you.
You are not the only one carrying what you carry.
You are not the only one feeling what you feel.
You are not the only one trying to hold it all together.
And even in the moments where it feels like you are…
You’re not.
Sometimes you’ll find that connection in conversation.
Sometimes in shared experiences.
Sometimes in a quiet moment where something just clicks.
And sometimes…
you’ll find it in a song.
In a message.
In a space like this.
Keep showing up.
Keep being open.
Keep allowing yourself to feel, to release, and to heal.
And when the weight feels heavy…
Remember that you don’t have to carry it all at once.
Even releasing a little…
is still healing.
With you in every moment of strength,
in every quiet release,
and in every reminder that you are never alone…
