Aligning Your Calendar with Your Spirit: How Sacred Planning Brings Peace, Presence, and Purpose
Aligning Your Calendar with Your Spirit: How Sacred Planning Brings Peace, Presence, and Purpose

Hello beautiful soul ✨
I’m so glad you’re here today. Truly.
And I don’t say that lightly.
Whether you’re reading this in a quiet pause between tasks,
late at night when the house has finally settled, or during a moment you
intentionally carved out just for yourself — I want you to know this space was
created with care, intention, and love for you. 💛
Before we begin, take a gentle breath in.
Let it move through your body slowly.
Notice where you’re holding tension — the shoulders, the jaw, the chest.
And as you exhale, allow yourself to arrive — not rushed, not
behind, not overwhelmed — just here. 🤍
Here is enough. You are enough.
I may have mentioned this before… but I love calendars.
Not in a casual, “I jot things down sometimes” kind of way.
I mean love love.
My date book is my guide throughout the year. It holds bill
dates, lunar phases 🌙,
anniversaries, birthdays, appointments, and the moments I choose to
remember. I write in it constantly — not just what’s coming up, but what has
already happened — because if I’m honest, my days tend to run together.
Life moves fast. Faster than we realize.
And if I don’t pause to mark it, it slips through my fingers.
So, I write.
And I keep them.
Every single one.
I have every date book from 2004 until now. 📚
You might be thinking, That sounds like hoarding.
I prefer the term pack rat.
Everything is organized. Labeled. Intentional. And while it
may mean nothing to most people, it has deep value to me. Those books hold
pieces of my life — seasons I survived, joy I celebrated, grief I carried
quietly, lessons I didn’t understand at the time but needed to live through.
They remind me that I made it through things I once thought
would break me.
They remind me that joy returned after sorrow.
They remind me that time, when honored, becomes a teacher.
Because my date book is so detailed, I usually buy the next
one in October… and it takes me until the end of December to fully prepare it.
Even now, I’m only through October and still have lists to make.
What lists?
I’m so glad you asked. 😊
When Planning Becomes a Spiritual Practice 📖✨
Inside my planner, I keep dedicated pages for the things that
nourish me — not just what I have to do, but what makes me feel alive.
• New movies I want to watch
• Books that spark curiosity or healing
• Foods I want to try or recipes I want to make (because yes — I love to
eat 🍽️)
• Songs that moved me
• Phrases or quotes that left an imprint on my heart
These lists aren’t random. They’re reminders of who I was in
that season — what caught my attention, what stirred something within me, what
helped me feel human again.
I also print and insert customized planner pages — personal
details like my birth chart, vibrational frequencies, and gentle self-care
reminders. These aren’t there to control my life.
They’re there to support it.
To remind me that I am not just here to function — I’m here to
feel, to reflect, to tend to my spirit as much as my responsibilities.
You might be thinking, That sounds like a lot.
And maybe it is.
But here’s the truth I’ve learned over the years:
What feels overwhelming to one person can be grounding joy to another.
I’ve been doing this since 2004, and what started as simple
organization has evolved into something sacred. My planner isn’t just about
dates — it’s about alignment. It’s how I stay connected to myself in a
world that constantly pulls us outward.
Writing things down slows me down.
It brings awareness.
It creates intention.
And intention, when practiced consistently, becomes a
spiritual anchor ⚓ — something steady to return to when
everything else feels loud or uncertain.
Structure Isn’t Restriction — It’s Support 🕊️
Even with all that, I still use multiple calendars.
I have the one on my phone 📱.
The master calendar in the kitchen.
The one on my desk.
Each one has a purpose. Each one reminds me in a different
way.
Why so many?
Because my memory… well… it’s not great. 😅
And instead of shaming myself for that, I’ve learned to support myself.
There’s a saying that often comes to mind:
“Failing to plan is planning to fail.”
When you’re holding space for multiple people’s lives —
family, work, responsibilities, commitments — you can’t do it all in your head.
At least, I can’t.
Writing things down frees mental space. It lowers anxiety. It
allows me to be present instead of constantly afraid I’m forgetting something
important.
And spiritually speaking, structure creates safety.
When your nervous system feels supported, your spirit has room
to breathe 🌿.
When your days have rhythm, your intuition speaks more clearly.
When you know what’s coming, you’re less reactive and more responsive.
Planning doesn’t mean controlling the future.
It means preparing yourself to meet it with grace.
Honoring What Matters Most 🗓️💛
If you remember everything effortlessly, hats off to you.
Truly.
But if you’re like me — if your days blur together, if
responsibilities stack up, if your mind feels crowded — I want you to hear this
gently:
There is no shame in needing tools.
Planners, calendars, lists, reminders — these are not signs of
weakness. They are acts of care. They say, My life matters enough to tend
to.
Big or small, digital or paper, color-coded or simple —
whatever works for you is valid.
Because at the heart of all this isn’t organization for
organization’s sake.
It’s about staying on top of what matters most:
• Your time
• Your energy
• Your commitments
• Your joy
• Your rest
Aligning your calendar with your spirit means you’re not just
scheduling obligations — you’re making space for life. For rest. For
creativity. For growth. For God moments you don’t want to rush past ✨.
When we plan with intention, we’re not boxing ourselves in.
We’re building a container that allows our lives to unfold with more peace and
less chaos.
And that, beautiful soul, is a gift you deserve.
Affirmations 🌸
Take a slow breath and let these words settle into your heart:
• I honor my life by planning with intention.
• Structure supports my peace and clarity.
• Writing things down helps me stay present and grounded.
• My time is sacred, and I choose how I spend it.
• I give myself grace as I grow and organize my life.
Bible Verse 📖
“For everything there is a season, and a time for
every matter under heaven.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1
There is wisdom in recognizing seasons — and grace in planning
for them with care. Some seasons ask us to move quickly. Others ask us to slow
down and pay attention. Planning helps us honor both.
🎵 Song of
the Day: “Reminding Me (Of Self)” by Common feat. Chantay Savage (Explicit)
This song takes me back to my childhood. Common is originally
from the Chi, and I remember hearing this song on the radio when I was in high
school — long before life became as layered as it is now.
Music has a way of anchoring us to moments in time.
A sound. A feeling. A version of ourselves.
There are things in this life that remind us of where we’ve
been and how we got to where we are now. That’s what this song does for me. And
honestly — that’s what my calendars do too.
They remind me of the path that brought me to this present
moment. The choices. The growth. The lessons. The becoming.
Looking back isn’t about living in the past — it’s about
honoring the journey that shaped you. And when we allow ourselves to remember
with compassion, we can move forward with clarity and gratitude 🎶.
Final Thoughts 🤍
Trust divine timing. We can’t rush what’s on its way to us. We
can only remain open, receptive, and ready for the blessings meant for us.
Planning doesn’t interrupt faith — it partners with it.
It says, I trust what’s unfolding, and I’m preparing my heart to receive it.
Many blessings to all who read this.
May you feel supported, gently guided, and deeply loved — not just in the big,
mountaintop moments, but in the quiet, ordinary days too. The days that don’t
feel extraordinary but are shaping you all the same.
Those days matter.
You matter.
With love and gratitude,
