Final Thoughts as 2025 Draws to a Close & the 1/1 Portal Opens

Stepping Forward with Grace, Presence, and Quiet Faith

By Angel, Founder of AMC Rise and Thrive

Hello beautiful soul 🤍

I’m really glad you’re here today.
Whether you’re reading this with a quiet cup of something warm nearby
, scrolling during a pause in your day, or sitting with thoughts that feel heavier than you expected for this time of year you are welcome here, exactly as you are.

As we move through the final days of 2025, there’s often a tender mix in the air. Relief and exhaustion. Gratitude and grief. Hope and hesitation. The calendar tells us something is ending, but our hearts dont always move at the same pace. If youre feeling tired, reflective, emotional, or unsure how youre supposed to feel right now, let me gently remind you: there is no “right” way to arrive at the end of a year. There is only your way.

And you made it.
That matters more than we sometimes realize.
🤍

Standing at the Threshold 🌿

The end of the year is a threshold — not a finish line. It’s a sacred pause between what has been and what is quietly forming beneath the surface. Yet so often, we treat this moment like a performance review of our lives. We tally what went well, replay what didn’t, measure ourselves against goals we once set, and wonder why we didn’t do more, be more, heal more.

But here is a truth I want to hold gently with you today: survival is not small. Endurance is not insignificant. Waking up and choosing to keep going — especially through loss, uncertainty, and emotional fatigue — is an act of courage. 🌱

This year has been tender for me. I’ve lost a few important people, and grief has a way of reshaping time. Some days feel softer, others feel sharp and heavy. There are moments when strength surprises me, and moments when tiredness settles deep in my bones. Yet even in that tiredness, gratitude remains. I’m grateful to still be here. Grateful to still be standing. Grateful for breath, for brief moments of peace, and for the quiet knowing that life continues — even when it looks different than I imagined.

As we approach the New Year — and the powerful 1/1 January 1st portal, often seen as a spiritual reset and energetic opening I dont want to invite you into pressure. I want to invite you into presence. Into reflection. Into grace.

Let’s talk about what it truly means to begin again — gently, honestly, and with hope.

Rethinking Resolutions — Why Small, Kind Commitments Matter 💛

Every year, the word resolution carries so much weight. Change everything. Fix everything. Become a brand-new version of yourself overnight. It’s no wonder so many resolutions fade before February arrives — they’re often built on pressure rather than compassion.

Real transformation rarely comes from drastic overhauls. It grows through small, faithful steps repeated with intention over time.

Instead of asking, “What should I change about myself?”
What if we asked, “How can I care for myself more honestly?”

Small intentions hold quiet power:

  • Saying one kind thing to yourself each day 💬
  • Drinking a little more water 💧
  • Pausing for a few deep breaths before reacting 🌬
  • Going to bed ten minutes earlier 🌙
  • Speaking your needs without apology

These choices may seem simple, but they build trust with yourself — and self-trust is the foundation of lasting change.

Spiritually speaking, growth is often incremental. Scripture reminds us that seeds don’t bloom the moment they’re planted. They require time, patience, nourishment, and faith. When we honor small beginnings, we align ourselves with the rhythm of creation itself. 🌾

So, if you’re entering the New Year feeling unsure, tired, or cautious, that’s okay. Let your intentions be gentle. Let them be sustainable. Let them be rooted in love rather than self-criticism.

The 1/1 Portal — New Energy, Not New Pressure

January 1st is often viewed as a spiritual doorway — a symbolic alignment of mind, body, and spirit. The 1/1 portal carries the energy of fresh starts, clarity, and intention. But it’s important to remember this truth: energy supports us; it does not demand from us.

This portal isn’t asking you to rush forward or reinvent yourself overnight. It’s inviting you to align.

Alignment looks like honesty.
It looks like listening inward.
It looks like quietly asking God, “What do You want to grow in me this season?”
🙏

Sometimes the answer is rest.
Sometimes it’s courage.
Sometimes it’s healing.
Sometimes it’s learning how to receive instead of always giving.

As this energetic doorway opens, give yourself permission to release what no longer fits — not with force, but with gratitude. Thank the lessons. Honor the experiences. Trust that what is meant to stay will remain, and what is meant to fall away will do so naturally.

New beginnings don’t require perfection.
They require openness.
🤍

Moving Forward with Clarity, Kindness, and Hope 🌟

As we close this year and step into the next, my hope is that we move forward with clarity — knowing what truly matters. With kindness — toward ourselves and others. And with hope — not the loud, performative kind, but the quiet, steady kind that gently whispers, “This isn’t the end.”

If you’re grieving, let hope sit beside your sadness.
If you’re exhausted, let kindness guide your pace.
If you’re unsure, let clarity come slowly.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to feel ready. You simply have to stay open.

Life continues — not because it ignores loss, but because love carries us through it. 💞
And if all you can say as this year ends is, “I’m still here,” that is more than enough.

Affirmations for the New Year

Take a slow breath and read these gently. Let what resonates stay with you.

  • I honor my journey exactly as it has unfolded.
  • I release pressure and choose grace.
  • I am allowed to grow gently and at my own pace.
  • I trust that God is guiding my steps, even when I feel unsure.
  • I am grateful for my resilience and my continued becoming.

📖 Bible Verse & Reflection

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
Isaiah 43:18–19

This verse is a tender reminder that God’s work is not confined to what has already been. While reflection is holy, dwelling endlessly on the past can keep us from noticing what is quietly emerging. The “new thing” often begins subtly — a shift in perspective, a softened heart, a renewed sense of hope. As this year closes, may you trust that even if you can’t fully see it yet, something meaningful is already taking root. 🌱

🎵 Song of the Day: “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield 🎶

🎧 Listen and reflect

This song feels like a perfect companion for this moment in time. Unwritten reminds us that the future remains open — not rigidly scripted, not fully defined. It speaks to possibility without pressure and freedom without fear.

As you listen, notice what stirs within you. What feels hopeful? What feels unfinished in a gentle, promising way? Let the melody remind you that your story is still unfolding — and you are allowed to write it slowly, honestly, and with faith.

Final Thoughts: A Gentle Blessing for the Road Ahead 🤍

As 2025 comes to a close and the 1/1 portal opens before us, I hope y’all take a moment to breathe. To acknowledge what you’ve carried. To honor what you’ve survived. To thank yourself for continuing — even on the days it felt heavy.

May you step into the coming year not rushed, not pressured, but grounded in grace. May clarity meet you where confusion once lived. May kindness soften your inner dialogue. And may hope — quiet and steady — remind you that divine timing is always at work, even when the path feels unclear.

Many blessings to all who read this.
May you feel seen, supported, and deeply loved — right where you are and as you step into what’s next.
