October Reflections: Entering the Final Stretch of 2025

October Reflections: Entering the Final Stretch of 2025

Hello beautiful soul 🍂✨

Here we are — October 1st. Can you believe it? For some, this is one of the most beloved times of the year. The air shifts, leaves fall like golden whispers, and the energy feels ripe for change. Pumpkins find their way onto porches, the cozy warmth of blankets calls us close, and yes, the spooky season arrives with Halloween just around the corner.

But beyond the decorations and costumes, October always seems to carry a deeper invitation — a turning inward, a looking back at how far we’ve come, and a gentle but undeniable reminder that the year is drawing to a close.

The Weight of 2025

Let’s be honest: 2025 hasn’t exactly been gentle. In fact, I’ll say what many of us have been carrying quietly — this year has been a pain in the a**. There’s been heaviness everywhere: loss, illness, unexpected changes, stress piling on top of stress. It feels like the ground beneath us has been anything but steady.

Maybe you’ve felt the sting of endings you didn’t ask for. Maybe the rug has been pulled out from under you more times than you can count. Maybe clarity came, but only after something important fell apart.

And yet, here we are, stepping into the tenth month of this long, unpredictable year. That in itself is worth pausing to honor. You’re still here. You’ve made it this far. And that means something.

This is where I encourage you not to gloss over your survival. It’s easy to dismiss it, to downplay your strength, to look only at what’s left undone. But survival itself is an act of courage. Every breath you’ve taken through the storms, every step forward when you didn’t know what tomorrow would hold — that is testimony to your resilience.

So, take a moment to acknowledge yourself. You’ve been carrying more than you expected, and still, you’re here. That’s not small. That’s sacred.

The Hidden Gift of Change

As hard as it’s been, I also believe 2025 has been a refining year — stripping away illusions, forcing us to look at what really matters, and pushing us to release what no longer fits the person we are becoming.

No, the changes didn’t come wrapped in pretty bows. They weren’t the ones we would have chosen. But sometimes leveling up requires the breaking down first. Transformation almost always feels messy before it feels meaningful.

Think of the leaves in October. They don’t cling to their branches out of fear of what comes next. They let go, gracefully, beautifully, and trust the cycle. We’re asked to do the same.

And isn’t that the way of spiritual growth? We want the light but often resist the pruning. We want clarity but wrestle with letting go of what clouds our vision. Yet growth rarely comes without release.

So, if 2025 has felt like things were being stripped away, maybe that’s not punishment — maybe it’s preparation. Maybe what looks like loss is actually space being cleared for the life you’ve been praying for.

Nearing the Finish Line

There’s something motivating about reaching October — the tenth month out of twelve. We’re closer to the finish line than the starting point. And while the challenges of the year don’t magically disappear, there’s a subtle shift that happens inside when you realize:

  • You’ve survived this much already.
  • You’ve grown in ways you may not fully see yet.
  • And there’s still time — time to adjust, time to heal, time to embrace what’s left of this year with intentionality.

The end of the year often brings urgency, as if the calendar closing somehow decides our worth or success. But I want to remind you: progress isn’t just measured in checklists or accomplishments. Sometimes progress is simply learning how to be present, how to let go, how to forgive yourself, how to honor your limits, how to lean on God when your own strength runs out.

You’ve made it this far. You are further along than you were in January. Even if your journey looks nothing like what you planned, you are carrying wisdom now that you didn’t have then. That’s growth. That’s progress.

An Encouragement for You

If you’re feeling weary, I want you to hear this: it’s okay. You don’t have to hold it all together perfectly. You don’t have to “figure it all out” before December. You are allowed to rest, grieve, and process. You are allowed to find small joys — even in a year that has felt unbearably heavy.

Let October be a permission slip. Permission to breathe. Permission to let go of what you cannot control. Permission to step into the last stretch of 2025 with courage, even if your steps feel wobbly.

And most importantly — be proud of how far you have come. You’ve endured more than you thought possible, and you are still standing. That is worth celebrating.

Enjoy this fall season. Let the crisp air remind you of fresh beginnings. Let the colors of the trees remind you of beauty even in endings. Let the quiet evenings remind you of the sacredness of rest.

I’m happy to be on this journey with you. Truly. If this blog has helped or inspired you, all I ask is that you share it with someone who might need it. This blog is free, and I hope it finds the right heart at the right time. You never know whose life might be touched by the encouragement you pass along.

Trusting Your Intuition

One of the greatest lessons of this year — and of life itself — is learning to trust your intuition. That quiet nudge inside you, the gentle whisper of God, the knowing that doesn’t always make sense to the mind but sits true in the spirit.

I hope that along this journey, you’ve learned to honor it. Intuition is a gift. Sometimes, you are the one called to speak into someone’s life, even when you don’t feel “ready” or “qualified.” Other times, intuition is your protection, guiding you away from spaces or people that don’t serve your highest good.

Don’t dismiss it. Practice listening. Trust that you are being led, even when the path feels uncertain.

Affirmation for October

“I honor how far I’ve come, I release what no longer serves me, and I step forward with courage, trusting that every season carries purpose.”

Repeat this daily if it resonates. Let it settle into your bones.

A Word of Faith

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1

Even in the mess, there’s divine order. Even in the pain, there’s hidden purpose. Hold onto that truth as you move through this month.

🎶 Song of the Day: "Funhouse" by Samantha Leah
I’ve been sitting on this one for months. It’s been on repeat in my world, and I knew October was the right time to share it. Something in the lyrics, the energy, and the raw honesty felt like it belonged to this season — this exact moment.

Closing

So, beautiful soul, as the leaves change and October settles in, I encourage you to reflect, release, and remember: the story of this year isn’t finished yet. You are stronger than the chaos, and your light still matters in this world.

I hope on this journey you have learned to trust yourself more deeply. I hope you’ve seen glimpses of your own growth. And I hope you know that our journey together continues — that as this season brings change, it also brings fresh opportunities for you to rise, thrive, and expand into more of who you are meant to be.

Take it one breath, one step, one day at a time.

With love and resilience,
Angel
